Kira Schmidt Stiedenroth, MA, studierte Ethnologie und moderne Indologie (Urdu) mit Schwerpunkt Medizinethnologie am Südasien Institut der Universität Heidelberg. Sie hat, u.A., Feldforschung über Unfruchtbarkeit bei Baloch Frauen in Pakistan betrieben. Seit 2011 arbeitet sie an ihrer Promotion über gegenwärtige Institutionen und Praxen der Unani Medizin in Indien. Kira Schmidt Stiedenroth studied Cultural Anthropology and Modern South Asian Languages and Literatures (Urdu) with focus on Medical Anthropology at the South Asia Institute, Heidelberg University. She has, among others, conducted fieldwork on infertility among Baloch women in Pakistan. She is working since 2011 on her PhD thesis about contemporary institutions and practices of unani medicine in India.
